Volunteering

There are a number of different ways you can join with us in making a difference to these communities.

Vietnam

English Teachers

Our Summer School Program runs from 1 -  31 July every year in Dien Ban district, which is about 45 minutes by bus from Hoi An. The focus of this program is teaching english language skills and music to secondary school children in the rural areas. About 130 children attend this program each year. If you are interested in this program you need to be able to commit to an either 2, 3 or 4 week block of time and must apply before the end of February in the year you wish to volunteer.

We prefer qualification teachers.

Physiotherapists

For the Dien Tho Rehabilitation Centre, located about 30 minutes by motorbike/car from Hoi An. At present we have 16 children at the centre but this ranges from 5 to 9 children per day. You would work with our staff to provide physical therapy for these children or training of local volunteers. the centre is opened Monday to Friday (except Wednesday) from 8am till 4pm. If you are a qualified Physiotherapist and interested in assisting in this area, you need to be able to commit to a minimum of one week.

Cambodia

Medical Staff

We are currently in year two of a five year project in the Kampot province of southern Cambodia, executing a multi faceted aid program, concentrating on the impoverished communes of Chumkriel and Kampong Samrong, situated approximately 4 km from the town of Kampot.

Community health in these communes is considerably below acceptable levels. Basic hygiene and the consequences of poor hygiene are not understood. If you would like to be involved in this project we require the services of qualified doctors and nurses. For more details please contact us via the link below.
